Not Quite There Yet

The contrast and color reproduction actually exceeded my expectations. The specs for the price seems like such a good deal and frankly the feature set advertised is amazing. Unfortunately, the local dimming causes so much blooming and flickering in motion that it's a massive distraction. Since I chose this monitor for the large number of dimming zones to have a solid HDR experience without having to worry about burn in since I'd also be using it as my day to day work monitor I am pretty disappointed. I really hope that a firmware patch is in the works, I know other mini-LED monitors have had firmware updates that have completely transformed their usage. For now I can only recommend this monitor if you're okay not using any local dimming. The port selection is great and I do like the coating on the screen.
